Tuition Information: Tuition for each Summer Intensive
varies by location and duration. Specific amounts are listed below
by site. Tuition may be paid by credit card or personal check in two
installments: half when enrolling and the other half by May 1, 2010.
Please do not send room and board payments to ABT.

New York Summer Intensive
Artistic Coordinator, Melissa Allen Bowman
At the New York Summer Intensive, students will enjoy six-weeks of
classes in the ABT studios at Broadway and 19th Street near Union
Square. The New York site is geared toward advanced dancers, ages
12-22. Supervised housing is not available in New York. The New York
site will continue to hold separate technique classes for men and
will focus on the key elements of the ABT National Training Curriculum
for ballet technique. Students will have the opportunity to perform
ABT repertory and a piece of original choreography in a final performance.
Special ABT guest teachers in New York will include Franco DeVita,
Wes Chapman, and Kevin McKenzie.

Michigan
Summer Intensive Artistic Coordinator, Alaine Haubert
During the four-week program students will take classes in state-of-the-art
studios both at Wayne State University and the Detroit Opera House.
The students perform ABT repertory and new choreography on the world-renowned
Detroit Opera House stage. The Detroit Summer Intensive is geared
toward the refinement of intermediate/advanced dancers, ages 12-18.
Special ABT guests will include Melissa Allen Bowman. Housing and
meals are provided on the campus of Wayne State University. To see

Alabama Summer Intensive
Artistic Coordinators, Franco De Vita and Carla Stallings Lippert
This three-week program is held in collaboration with the Department
of Theatre and Dance at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. Students
will stay in dormitories on the beautiful University of Alabama campus
while studying part-time with Franco De Vita, Principal of the Jacqueline
Kennedy Onassis School, and celebrated ABT faculty. A final performance
will be held featuring ABT repertory and new choreography on stage
at the Moody Music Concert Hall. The Tuscaloosa site is geared toward
strengthening and refining technique for intermediate and advanced
dancers, ages 12-18.

Texas Summer Intensive
Artistic Coordinator, Wes Chapman
ABT and The University of Texas at Austin collaborate on this four-week
intensive. Students attending this program are required to stay in
dormitories on the UT campus and have an opportunity to enjoy Austin’s
rich history and culture. The Austin Summer Intensive is geared toward
strengthening and refining technique for intermediate and advanced
dancers, ages 12-18. Students will have the opportunity to study with
Wes Chapman, Artistic Director of ABT II, and celebrated ABT faculty.
The experience will culminate in a final performance of ABT repertory

Intensive

ABT and the Orange County Performing Arts Center work together to
bring you this program located in the beautiful facilities on the
campus of the University of California, Irvine. Students attending
this program are encouraged to stay in the dormitories on campus where
there will also be a final performance of ABT repertory and new works.
The California Summer Intensive is aimed at giving advanced students,
ages 12-18, a chance to train in an intensive environment with ABT’s
expert faculty as a preparation for their fall terms. For more information
