Ballet for the Young Dancer
at ABT’s 890 Broadway Studios

Classes for children ages 5 – 10
Ballet for the Young Dancer follows ABT’s National Training
Curriculum offering enrichment classes for recreational dancers
while preparing pre-teens to enter ballet academies. ABT certified
teachers who exemplify early ballet training philosophies instruct
all classes. Faculty teachers include: Johanna Butow, Harriet Clark
and Jane Vorburger.
Ballet Steps | Ages 5 | One 60 minute class per
week
Preparatory Ballet A | Ages 6 | One 60 minute class
per week
Preparatory Ballet B | Ages 6 and 7 | One 60 minute
class per week
Ballet I | Ages 7 | One 75 minute class per week
Ballet II | Ages 8 & 9 | Two 90 minute classes
per week
Ballet III | Ages 9 & 10 | Two 90 minute classes
per week
Performance Opportunities
All students will have the opportunity to perform in an informal
setting for family and friends at ABT’s Manhattan rehearsal
studios at 890 Broadway. Studio showings are planned for December
2008 and May 2009.

Students registering for Ballet ll and Ballet lll are strongly encouraged
to take two classes per week. Once weekly class rates are available
upon special request.
Payment can be made in full, due at the time of enrollment, or in
two installments, the first due upon enrollment and the second due
in January, 2009. All tuition payments are non-refundable after October
1st, 2008.
