GILLIAN MURPHY AND ANGEL CORELLA TO DEBUT WITH THE KIROV BALLET, MARCH 16 AND 19, 2008   2/29/2008 - American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancers Gillian Murphy and Angel Corella will debut with the Kirov Ballet March 16 and 19 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. Murphy will dance Odette/Odile in the Kirov’s production of Swan Lake, opposite Kirov Ballet principal Andrian Fadeyev, on Sunday, March 16. On Wednesday, March 19, Corella will perform Prince Siegfried opposite Diana Vishneva. Murphy and Corella’s appearances are part of the VIII International Ballet Festival Mariinsky, which was launched in 2001 with the aim of drawing artists from around the world to Russia´s cultural capital.
